Event Description

We are pleased to announce that we are in the process of planning our next annual U.S. Re Under 40s Group Tour.  It will take place in Bermuda on Sunday, April 9th – Thursday, April 13th 2017.

As many of you are aware, this will be the sixth annual tour for the Re Under 40s Group. We have hosted tours in Miami & the Cayman Islands, Munich & Zurich, London and Bermuda.  The tour has proved to be a wonderful educational and networking experience, and this year's trip promises to be no exception.

We are very excited about the 2017 Tour and although we are still in the planning stages, we already have commitments from Renaissance Re, Validus, AWAC, Aspen, Ariel Re, AXIS, TMR, Watford Re, Third Point Re, Horseshoe, Harrington Re, Beach & Associates, and TigerRisk, who have agreed to host our group for presentations, meetings and/or discussions that cover a wide array of topics. Other meetings are in the process of being set up with (re)insurers, and brokers on both the primary and reinsurance side, as well as convergence capital markets.  The Tour will provide a great opportunity to learn about the (re)insurance marketplace in Bermuda and network with existing and/or potential industry contacts. 

We have been able to secure some great hotel deals and anticipate that the total cost for each participant will be in the region of $2,500-$3,000, which includes round trip airfare, transportation, lodging and meals.  We are in the process of finding additional sponsors and hosts in Bermuda, which will minimize further the costs to all of the Tour participants. The above estimate is somewhat conservative, as we hope and anticipate that certain costs (such as meals) will be lowered through sponsorship.

Attendance will be limited to 10 people so please contact us at tour@reunder40s.org if you are interested in attending (please only email us if you are confident that you will be able to secure funding for the tour).  Also, final member acceptability is at the discretion of the RU40 board.

Everyone who has attended the Tour in the past found it to be a worthwhile and invaluable experience.  Please note that unlike virtually all industry conferences, there is NO charge for the educational portion of the Tour.
